Job Summary:
The Benefits Analyst will focus on the analysis, administration, and compliance of employee benefits. In addition, they will play a role in the administration and execution of benefit programs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Administer employee benefit programs in accordance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
  • Provides benefit plan interpretation, guidance, and counsel to employees, HR colleagues, and managers
  • Support all phases of the Open Enrollment process including enrollment assistance, follow-up and vendor participation.
  • Review existing plans and systems to improve benefit processes and ensure compliance.
  • · Process and review benefits enrollments in the HRIS to provide vendors with accurate information.
  • Prepare reporting and benefit files for payroll processing, vendor requirements and internal partners.
  • Serve as liaison between HR, IT, Finance, external vendors, and other stakeholders for benefits related projects.
  • Assist with internal and external communication about enhancements/updates to the benefits systems.
  • Track metrics and prepare reports for compliance and finance
  • Complete monthly auditing of all benefit enrollments and changes
  • Maintain the integrity and confidentiality of human resources files and records.
  • Document, recommend, and if needed implement benefit systems security and processes relating to benefits.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 5+ years’ experience in a benefits and HR related field
  • Some knowledge and experience related to federal, state, local laws and regulations including, but not limited to COBRA, Healthcare Reform requirements, Short Term Disability, FMLA in multiple states, Workers Compensation and state specific government regulations for insurance filing and reporting.
  • Excellent communications, customer service, time management and complex problem-solving capabilities.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and power-point
  • Strong technical skills as it relates to an HR systems.
  • Experience with reviewing and analyzing and comparing data for accuracy, completeness, and consistency to then draw conclusions and make appropriate recommendations.
  • Demonstrated ability and understanding to fully utilize enterprise-wide HRIS, benefit and payroll systems.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and trustworthiness.
 This position will require some physical presence in HouseWorks corporate office in Woburn, MA on a weekly basis.
